Executive Leadership Speaker
Mark Pattison built this program for board retreats and C-suite offsites, the room that has already sat through the standard keynote circuit and can tell the difference within five minutes.
Booked by leaders at Google, Harvard, Sports Illustrated, FLUKE, Q Sciences and EO.

The story, compressed
A ballroom keynote and an executive offsite are not the same event, even when the speaker is the same person. Executive audiences already run things. They don’t need to be hyped up, they need frameworks they can apply to decisions they’re already making, in a format that respects their time and expertise.
Five NFL seasons and a decade of high-altitude expeditions taught Mark the same lesson from two angles: when the room is small and the stakes are real, decision-making frameworks matter more than motivation.
Before these engagements, Mark typically interviews a few members of your leadership team, so the language and examples are specific to what your organization is navigating right now.

Why book Mark
The same pre-decision rules and turnaround-time discipline used at 26,000 feet.
A fireside conversation, a Q&A-heavy session, or a keynote with room for dialogue.
Content specific to what your organization is navigating right now.
The framework Mark relied on when the original plan had already failed.
Comfortable with NDAs, closed-door formats, and remote or international venues.
Frameworks executives can apply, not just a story they’ll enjoy once.
Signature program
Using the true story of decisions made where errors couldn’t be undone, Mark walks senior leaders through a decision-making framework built for their level, then maps it onto the strategic pivots and transitions your organization is navigating.
Your speaker

Mark Pattison played in the NFL for the Raiders, Saints, and Rams, spent a decade as a Sports Illustrated executive, and became the first NFL player to complete the Seven Summits with his 2021 ascent of Mount Everest.
His climb became the NFL Films documentary Searching for the Summit, which won a Sports Emmy in 2022. Today he brings that hard-won experience to stages worldwide, turning the hardest decisions he has ever made into a framework your leaders can use.
