The story, compressed

Three decisions from the summit push, built for your boardroom

In May 2021, Mark stood on the summit of Mount Everest, becoming the first NFL player to complete the Seven Summits. The mountain did not care about his résumé. Every call above the death zone had to be made with a foggy head, incomplete information, and consequences that could not be undone.

This keynote does not retell the whole expedition. It distills the summit push into three decisions your audience can use on Monday, how to commit to a go or no-go call under pressure, how to lead a team when the margin is thin, and how to know when the right move is to turn around before the summit, not after.

Every story lands on a business takeaway your team can act on immediately, not just a highlight reel from 29,032 feet.

  • The discipline of turning around before it becomes a crisis
  • Building trust with a team you are about to put through hell
  • Setting a summit worth the suffering, then reaching it
  • Recovering fast and getting back in the field
